with the two week vacation and the medical emergency with my niece, i have not been able to keep on schedule... if you are waiting to view pictures, i promise i am working on getting those finished and uploaded... if you are waiting on your orders to be filled, it shouldn't be much longer... i apologize for this but family is first... thank you for understanding... have a great weekend... kim

sweet, sweet baby...

well, i'm back in shreveport today... came over at 4 this morning... kadence had a bad night and still can't use the bathroom... they were wanting to do surgery last nite but she was still to weak... they took her to surgery around 1 today and they just came in and said she made it through... praise the lord... prayers were answered... so many of you have sent your well-wishes and have been praying for kadence and the family and we are so appreciative... we love our small town and our family and friends...

they put a colostomy bag in and she will have to have it for at least 6mths... still on vent and sedated... will be a couple of days we think until they start possibly taking her off of all that... not real sure... could be longer... she is really sick but we know the lord answers prayers... thanks for your support and prayers...kim

back at work...

well, i am finishing up my first day back at work since the holidays... it has been a crazy day... trying to "tend to" my schools... trying to get a new blog started... trying to get pictures edited... i have to stop at some point and pay bills... yuck... all of this while i am still worried about my niece and her mom and dad... still not a whole lot of change... and it is very difficult for me to be here... can't keep my mind on what i am suppose to be doing... i will update you all on her condition when i know more... she is still on ventilator... my mom is going back over tomorrow so i will have more news... this is a very stressful time for my family but we will all be there for them... we do appreciate your prayers and support... so many of you are so concerned and want to help... that's one of the great things about living in a small town!!!

i am writing this blog post from shreveport, la, this morning... my sweet little niece that was born last monday is in the children's hospital here... she was having trouble with her "plumbing"... they had to airlift her from monroe yesterday afternoon... needless to say, we have all been very worried and upset... they performed surgery last night to remove bowel obstruction... she will be over here for 2-3 weeks and come home with a tube in her belly... we found out during nikki's pregnancy that she was a carrier for the gene for cystic fibrosis (spelling?- haven't had much sleep)... josh was tested and results were positive for him as well... the surgeon told them last night that he was 90-95% sure that kadence has it... we have all been worried that this might happen... they will meet with doctors today... our family will appreciate your prayers...

i will be back at work tomorrow catching up after my much-needed, much-enjoyed vacation... kim

kathryn & stuart...

i finally got finished with kathryn and stuart's engagement pics this morning... what slowed me down you ask, well, possibly the fact that i took way too many pics... couldn't help it... new location was a blast... explored river levee-monroe...so we had a lot to work with any way then a nice restaurant owner, i believe the restaurant is coda, asked us if we would like to use his building... JACKPOT... that place is very beautiful... i have got to get over there and check the restaurant out...okay, kathryn hope you like the peek... kim

my brother josh and wife nikki had their beautiful baby girl on monday, dec. 29th at 10:04 pm... it was a long (long, long) day... after 22 hours on the drip she finally decided to make her grand entrance... she weighed 6.1 and 19 3/4 inches... she is perfect... this is the first of two slideshows... i had way too much time to take lots of pictures... this is a shortened version of my take on the day... okay , family i know you have been waiting... hope you like... much love... kim
